This is a card game, so finally, we get to dissect the cards! First, let's take a look at the moo moo cow:
This is a cow. A red cow. There are four numbers - 7 on top, 2 on the bottom, 6 to the right, 3 to the left. There is also a number "5" denoting its rarity.
And here's a blue bat:
This is a blue bat. There are four numbers - 2 on top, left, and right, with a 5 on the bottom.
When you place a card on the board, you "attack" cards on the board on that side. For example, if the board looked like this:
Blue starts and place the bat in the middle of the 3x3 board:
Now the red player places a cow to its right:
The cow is attacking the bat from the right! The cow will attack with its "3", because the bat is on the cow's left, and "3" is the cow's left number. The bat will defend with its 2, which is the bat's right number, with the cow on its right. Since 3 is greater than 2, the bat gets flipped to red:
Blue plays a bat in the upper right corner. It attacks the cow from above, using its 5 against the cow's 7. Unfortunately for the bat, since it did not win, the cow does not flip. The bat still stays blue though.
