The temple is where you want to go if you are a warrior or perhaps just do not have the power to cast some spells. The priest will be able to booster your powers. It takes a longer time than a regular mage, but it's well worth the effort. Every query requires 12 turns.
Temple spells temporarily boost a character's attributes for 3 hours, or until death.
